Having shot this event on a handful of occasions in the previous years, it was great to be back, witnessing and documenting the inspiring achievements of those driving innovation.
Last year, we had the incredible opportunity to shoot the IGPP (Institute of Government & Public Policy) Conference at the iconic Etihad Stadium in Manchester. The event brought together thought leaders, policymakers, and industry professionals for a day of inspiring discussions, networking, and cutting-edge exhibitions. It was a fantastic blend of knowledge-sharing and innovation, all set against the backdrop of one of the UK’s most famous stadiums.
The conference was packed with insightful keynote speeches, engaging panel discussions, and plenty of opportunities for professionals to connect. Throughout the day, a range of expert speakers took to the stage to discuss critical issues affecting governance, public policy, and industry trends. Their insights sparked meaningful conversations, leaving attendees with valuable takeaways and fresh perspectives on the future of public policy and governance.
As conference photographers in Manchester, our goal is to encapsulate the energy and dynamism of the day. From candid networking moments to impactful speaker presentations, every shot tells a story. The grand setting of the Etihad Stadium added an extra layer of prestige to the images, creating a visually striking contrast between the modern conference setup and the historic venue.
The lighting, the buzz of conversations, and the engaged expressions of attendees all made for compelling imagery. One of the highlights was capturing the passion of the speakers as they delivered thought-provoking talks—each frame telling a story of influence and inspiration.

Last summer, we had the incredible opportunity to photograph the MONY Group Summer Party at DieCast Manchester, a vibrant day event packed with live entertainment, unique experiences, and an electric atmosphere. As an event photographer, capturing the essence of a corporate summer party like this is all about energy, storytelling, and those unforgettable candid moments.
A Day Full of Entertainment
The venue was buzzing with excitement as guests enjoyed an amazing lineup of live bands, face painting, and even a rock band performance that had the crowd on their feet. Every corner of the venue had something happening, making it a dream setting for event photography—from dynamic performance shots to candid reactions of guests soaking in the fun.
The Challenges of Summer Event Photography
Shooting an outdoor day party in natural light comes with its own set of challenges. Harsh midday sun, moving performers, and fast-paced action required quick adjustments in exposure, composition, and shutter speed to capture crisp, well-lit shots. Balancing vibrant event aesthetics with natural candid moments ensured the final gallery truly reflected the atmosphere of the day.
Why Corporate Event Photography Matters
Events like these showcase a company’s culture and bring employees together in a fun, relaxed setting. High-quality corporate event photography is essential for capturing these moments—not just for memories, but also for branding, marketing, and social media engagement.

Back in November, we had the privilege of capturing the BIMM Graduation Ceremony in Manchester, an event filled with excitement, emotion, and celebration. As event photographers in Manchester , moments like these are what make storytelling through photography so rewarding.
Candid Graduation Photography
The day was packed with authentic, unscripted moments—from nervous grads adjusting their gowns to joyful embraces with family and friends. Candid event photography played a huge role in documenting the raw emotions of the day, from laughter to tears of pride.
Challenges of Event Photography
With fast-paced movement and tricky lighting, capturing the perfect shot required quick reflexes and adaptability. Balancing natural light with stage lighting and ensuring sharp, high-quality images in dynamic conditions was key to producing professional graduation photos.

A graduation is a milestone, and high-quality event photography preserves these once-in-a-lifetime moments. From portrait shots of proud graduates to dynamic group photos, the images from this event tell a powerful visual story.

Earlier in March, in the bustling city of Manchester, a prestigious event took place, celebrating the heroic work of the veterinary world – The Petplan Veterinary Annual Awards. Held in the iconic Albert Hall, this glittering even brought together veterinarians, nursers, and support staff from across the country to celebrate excellence in pet care and those who go above and beyond to ensure the health and happiness of our beloved companions.
This year’s award ceremony held event had extra significance as Petplan, the UK’s leading pet insurer, celebrated a remarkable milestone, the 25th anniversary of these prestigious awards. Since its inception, the Petplan Veterinary Annual Awards have served as a platform to showcase the remarkable achievements and unwavering commitment of individuals and practices within the veterinary community in championing the welfare of all animals in their care.
The historic venue of Albert Hall, with its ornate architecture and opulent décor, provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of celebration and recognition. From the red-carpet entrance to the dazzling ice sculptures, every detail was meticulously curated to create an atmosphere of glamour and sophistication. Following a champagne reception, the guests were welcomed by the TV’s favourite presenter, Claudia Winkleman and entertained throughout the night by the amazing Function Band.
Throughout the evening, we captured documentary images of the event as well as posed shots of the winners against the professional lit background using our studio lighting kit. We delivered the winner shots the following morning by 9am, ready for press releases and the remaining set of images were delivered the following working day to our client.
Congratulations to all winners and nominees.

In today's business world, having a professional and polished image is crucial. Whether you're creating a personal brand or representing a company, your headshot is often the first impression you make on potential clients, colleagues, and employers. Natural corporate headshots are a popular trend that has been gaining popularity in recent years, and for good reason.
Here at Tangerine Photography, we specialise in capturing natural and authentic headshots that showcase the unique personalities and professionalism of individuals and teams.
Our natural corporate headshots are photographs that capture the essence of who you are as an individual. They convey a sense of approachability, warmth, and authenticity, while also maintaining a level of professionalism. Unlike traditional corporate headshots, which are often stiff and formal, natural headshots aim to capture a more relaxed and natural look, allowing you to showcase your personality and character.
Additionally, natural headshots are more versatile than traditional headshots, allowing you to use them in a variety of contexts. Whether you're creating a personal brand on social media, updating your company's website, or appearing in print or online publications, a natural headshot can be used across a range of mediums.
To arrange your headshot session, get in touch today and we’ll take care of the rest for you and your company.
December 15th was an important day for our returning client; Stanleybet Group. They are one of the largest gaming operators in Europe and they officially opened their new headquarters in Liverpool. The company is not new to Liverpool as their headquarters have been situated in this dynamic city since 1978.
We were commissioned to capture candid shots of the event to document this significant occasion for the company. As with our documentary style photography, we captured the mood of the event, as well as few posed shots requested by the guests. In addition to this, we also captured a few shots of the office show casing the new premises.
We delivered the full set of images the very next day by 1pm, ready for press release. Here are some of our images from this evening:

For the second year running, we were back at the stunning Albert Hall in Manchester to capture Cowgil’s Homebuilder of the year awards.
This awards evening celebrates and acknowledges the achievements of small to medium sized home builders in the North West that help to improve communities and meet our growing need for new homes.
In contrast to the traditional black tie and dinner awards ceremonies we are familiar with, the theme for Cowgil’s Homebuilder of the year awards was a festival. This unique theme with top class entertainment and music throughout the evening, created a more casual and exciting approach to the awards ceremony.
There was also a charitable cause for the event; all proceeds made on the evenings went directly to NSPCC Charity.
To capture the evening, we had two photographers on board for this event. This enabled us to setup our professional lighting studio for the step and repeat photographs against the sponsored backdrop throughout the event, whilst simultaneously capturing details and candid shots throughout the evening.

Interflora’s prestigious Florist of the Year competition opened late last year, with photographic heats running from November to January.
The ten professional florists who made it through the photographic round, had to complete three designs challenges; wired bridal bouquet, hand tied design and the surprise item design.

Picking up litter really could pay off!
