Last month, I had the pleasure of capturing the iNetwork’s Innovation Awards at the Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel.

Having shot this event on a handful of occasions in the previous years, it was great to be back, witnessing and documenting the inspiring achievements of those driving innovation.

Petplan Veterinary Annual Awards at Albert Hall, Manchester

Earlier in March, in the bustling city of Manchester, a prestigious event took place, celebrating the heroic work of the veterinary world – The Petplan Veterinary Annual Awards. Held in the iconic Albert Hall, this glittering even brought together veterinarians, nursers, and support staff from across the country to celebrate excellence in pet care and those who go above and beyond to ensure the health and happiness of our beloved companions.

This year’s award ceremony held event had extra significance as Petplan, the UK’s leading pet insurer, celebrated a remarkable milestone, the 25th anniversary of these prestigious awards. Since its inception, the Petplan Veterinary Annual Awards have served as a platform to showcase the remarkable achievements and unwavering commitment of individuals and practices within the veterinary community in championing the welfare of all animals in their care.

The historic venue of Albert Hall, with its ornate architecture and opulent décor, provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of celebration and recognition. From the red-carpet entrance to the dazzling ice sculptures, every detail was meticulously curated to create an atmosphere of glamour and sophistication. Following a champagne reception, the guests were welcomed by the TV’s favourite presenter, Claudia Winkleman and entertained throughout the night by the amazing Function Band.

Throughout the evening, we captured documentary images of the event as well as posed shots of the winners against the professional lit background using our studio lighting kit. We delivered the winner shots the following morning by 9am, ready for press releases and the remaining set of images were delivered the following working day to our client.

Manchester University Pharmacy Society Charity Ball at The Lowry Hotel

This summer has been the summer of proms and charity balls for us. We have shot various events across the North of the UK for different organisations, societies, high schools and universities. We have thrived on capturing these amazing moments for our client to share and reflect on.

Manchester University Pharmacy Society (or MUPS) got in touch with us earlier in the year and commissioned us to photograph their annual charity ball event at the prestigious Lowry Hotel in Salford, Manchester.

We captured the venue details, guest’s arrival as well as a fantastic mixture of posed and natural shot throughout the night. We delivered our images within 48 hours via our online gallery platform and the photos were a hit with our client.

Cowgils North West Homebuilder of the Year Awards at Albert Hall, Manchester

For the second year running, we were back at the stunning Albert Hall in Manchester to capture Cowgil’s Homebuilder of the year awards.  

This awards evening celebrates and acknowledges the achievements of small to medium sized home builders in the North West that help to improve communities and meet our growing need for new homes.

In contrast to the traditional black tie and dinner awards ceremonies we are familiar with, the theme for Cowgil’s Homebuilder of the year awards was a festival. This unique theme with top class entertainment and music throughout the evening, created a more casual and exciting approach to the awards ceremony.

There was also a charitable cause for the event; all proceeds made on the evenings went directly to NSPCC Charity.


To capture the evening, we had two photographers on board for this event. This enabled us to setup our professional lighting studio for the step and repeat photographs against the sponsored backdrop throughout the event, whilst simultaneously capturing details and candid shots throughout the evening.

Birthdays are special occasions that we all look forward to, whether it's our own or someone else's. As the years go by, we realize how important it is to capture these moments and create memories that we can cherish for years to come. That's why birthday party photography is so important. Last month, we had the pleasure of capturing Victoria’s 30th birthday celebrations at Alberts Standish. Victoria wanted to capture the mood of the party, attended by her closest friends and family.

We captured natural and candid photos throughout the evening. To minimise our disruption to the flow of the party, we only took a handful of posed photos as per Victoria’s request.

Our photos captured the essence of Victoria’s special evening and we created memories that will last a lifetime. For us, each event is about telling a story through images, capturing the emotions and the moments that make a celebration unique and memorable

Most recently we have been capturing several Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s around Manchester and Cheshire, and we love capturing these important occasions marking a huge milestone for the family. The latest party was for Matthew’s Bar Mitzvah at Whitefield golf club.

We captured the night as it unfolded; we started with formal family images and portraits of Matthew before the guest’s arrival. We then captured natural and candid images of the guests, the speeches and of course the Israeli dancing.

Elite Group’s Christmas Party at The Brooklyn Hotel, Mancheste

December was the busiest month we had in 2021 and unsurprisingly we shot a staggering number of private and corporate Christmas parties across Manchester and the North of the UK. After all, for everyone (minus the Tory Party), it has been just over 2 years since they had their last Christmas Party in person, hence every Christmas party was a big occasion to celebrate after such a challenging time.

One of the earliest Christmas parties we shot in December, was for our telecommunication provider, Elite Group. The event was held at the Brooklyn Hotel in Manchester city Centre, and attended by almost all of the company’s staff. It was such a great event to be a part of and capture.

Ultimate Products Summer Party at Barca Bar, Castlefields

It has been a busy few months for us, capturing private and corporate events throughout Manchester. Last month we headed down to Barca Bar in Castlefields, a short walk from where we are based, to capture Ultimate Products (UP) summer party.

 The summer party was attended by the company’s staff as well as Simon Showman, the company’s CEO. After a short speech by Simon, the drinks were flowing and the uplifting music with the addition of the saxophone player made it a night to remember.

 We shot the event as it unfolded and provided a fantastic set of natural and posed images to our client. Here is a small selection of photos from the evening:

A few weeks ago, we were asked by Rasneep to capture her milestone 40th birthday at the family home.

The joyous occasion was attended by Rasneep’s closest friends and family in a Marquee set at the garden, shielding everyone from the day’s heavy rain.

Despite the weather, the day was filled with laughter and jubilation, marking a significant milestone for Rasneep. As always, we captured a perfect mixture of natural and posed images, ensuring every moment is recorded and cherished for years to come.

Multi Celebration Gathering in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

COVID has truly put a pause on events and celebrations since last March, but we are slowly seeing more small events and celebrations happening, and earlier this month we captured a multi celebration gathering for one of our clients in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

This event was a celebration for the several 50th & 60th birthdays as well as a wedding that the families were unable to celebrate due to COVID restrictions. It was a small outdoor gathering of 30, hosted by our client at their family home in Wilmslow, attended by their nearest and dearest to mark the missed occasions.

Sunlight House Launch Party

Sunlight house is one the great iconic building in Manchester, set in a prominent and busy location, overlooking Deansgate it is at the heart of city’s business district.

The launch event was suitably called Sunlight House of Fun! With a 90,000 ball pit, happy hopper racing, a tiki bar and Fun Doctors, who prescribed drinks or anger management Pinatas to the guests after diagnosis, this unique event was particularly fun to capture.

Ali & Aysha's Wedding Celebrations at The Event Co, Old Hall Hotel in Chester

Following Ali and Aysha’s traditional wedding ceremony at the Mere Golf & Spa Hotel in Knutsford, we headed to the location of their celebration party, held at the exclusive Events Co Marquee at Old Hall Hotel, set in the picturesque Chester countryside.

Over the years we have worked with Ali on various projects for his events management and drinks specialist company: MrFlavour.  Ali sets a very high standard for his company’s services, and his own wedding was no exception; every detail was well thought out, creating a remarkable experience.

The marquee, was beautifully decorated with a variety of fresh flowers and table centrepieces to please the eye, and guests were greeted with a variety of MrFlavours famous cocktails and drinks; the opulence of which was greatly admired.

Whilst the guests were arriving, we took the happy couple to the grounds of this stunning venue to take few portrait images. During a portrait session, we use a variety of techniques and tips to get the most natural and candid imagery that lasts a lifetime.

Having done the portraits, the couple went inside the marquee to greet their guests, followed by the dinner and speeches and a fireworks display. After which the bar was once again open, and the band incited the happy couple and guests to party through the late hours of the night. The joyous atmosphere of the couple and their guests enjoying their wedding day allowed for beautiful candid photos to be captured, and intimate moment to be caught for the couple to reminisce on.

During a very busy period in December, in between shooting corporate Christmas parties, we were asked to capture an intimate birthday celebration party; Gabrielle’s 21st.

This intimate party was held at The Ivy Restaurant in Spinningfields. Gabrielle asked for few formal portraits with her family at the start of the party and for the remaining time to capture candid and natural images. After the event we delivered a collection of 130 images which included a fantastic mixture of natural and posed photos.

Majed & Destina’s Engagement Party at Hilton Deansgate Manchester

We photograph weddings as well as engagement parties all year round and last Saturday we were invited by our lovely clients Majed and Destina to capture their engagement party.

We arrived half an hour early to the venue, in order to take a few family photographs before the guests started to arrive.

After capturing the formal photos, we adapted our photography to capture natural moments (the candid shots). We captured the guests as they arrived, the speeches, the presentation of the ring to Destina and of course the happy moments of the party.

Majed and Destina’s closest friends provided the heart warming speeches. We captured the couple’s and the guests reaction to the speeches and the funny video prepared by Majed’s best friends.

With our extremely fast tun-around of editing, we were able to deliver the high resolution photos within 48 hours via a secure online gallery to our client. The happy couple were extremely pleased with the photographs, stating and we quote: “We cherish these photos for a very long time to come”.

University of Law Awards at The Manchester Art Gallery

University of Law provides specialist legal training, and law degrees for British barristers and solicitors. The university celebrated their annual awards evening at Manchester Art Gallery. It was an enchanting evening inside the Art Gallery thanks to the four string quartet which provided a mixture of classical and pop music for the guests.

For the second year running, we provided corporate event photography for the annual awards. We captured candid moments during the welcome reception and continued capturing the awards ceremony and the winners as it unfolded.
